One week Old!

Happy One Week Birthday Abby Ruth!!

Abby Ruth is one week old today! Wow! That seems unreal really. She is such a joy! Wednesday was our first full day of cloth diapers and I will have to say that I was totally skeptical at first but they are completely fantastic! She went through 10 the first day and I was able to wash them up and they are ready to go again....totally neato! You can visit their website at www.bumgenius.com. We are going to OKC today via Cushing just to take another scout out of the little town. We are hoping to meet with them again the first week of May to talk more about practice opportunities. How exciting! Carson asked yesterday why are we going to Cushing...who lives there? In trying to explain well no one lives there that we know of now but God may call us to live in Cushing in the next year....he just stared at me blankly...thinking..."hmmm", he said "okay." This weekend is a huge outing for Abigail....tonight we are going to the Redhawks game, tomarrow we are going to The Lion King, and sunday thier is going to be a Meet and Great Tea for Abigail at her Mimi's....I am a little apprehensive to how it will all flow smoothly...maybe, maybe not...I hope that Mommy has the stamina to make it through the weekend. We did show the rental twice yesterday but are unsure as to if we have the right Leasees yet, please keep praying.

Just a quick pic at what life is like with Abigail

Praise God she loves the sling!
The boys are constantly wanting to hold her and then ask me to take thier picture :)

This one is for Grandmommie...look at those beautiful eggs, they are so pretty.

Our mess maker: Andrew. He decided to get Carson with the baby powder yesterday although most of it ended up on him :) Crazy Andrew...the plus side was he smelled really good!
Life with Abigail is so sweet. She is so precious and we have so enjoyed just getting to love on her the past six days...it is hard to believe that tomarrow she will be a week old! Wow! She is doing so well the past two nights and giving her Mommy some time to sleep- yeah! We have learned that she likes to sleep in her swing which is fine as long as she will sleep. Thier is definately something different about having a little girl....she is so delicate (yes, even at almost 9 lbs) and we just love looking at her. The boys are so interested in her eating and are my little alarms if she is crying...they immeadiately let me know that she needs her mommy. We are so enjoying having Dustin home, what a blessing, I can't believe that it has gone by so quickly and that he will be going back to work on Monday. Would you pray for us today? We still have not sold the rental house and are trusting God that He will show us what we need to do in the next few days. We have lowered the price of the home again and also have opened it up to a 12 Month lease with option to purchase. Dustin will show it twice today with possibly leasees. Please pray for us as we seek God's will for this home. We know that He will work this out for good as we expectantly wait on him. Thank you for your prayers! Have a great day!

Four Days Old

So things are so fun and lazy these days. It is noon and I am still in my pj's....Just taking a few moments to post some pics for the fam to see and enjoy and thought I would write down just a few things so I won't forget them:
Andrew:
"Mommy, she's not in your belly anymore!"
"She is soooo cute."
"Don't squish her."
"She is eating your belly!?!"

Carson:
"Your belly is still big." (to me :)
"I like it when she cries."
The bird now has 5 eggs in the nest...we are anxious to see them hatch as we now anticipate thier arrival. We are so enjoying the snuggle time with our little girl. Thier will be a meet and great at Mimi & Papa's this Sunday, April 26 from 3:00-4:30 in OKC for those that would love to come and see her.

Abigail's Mobile

The View that Abigail will see....

And the bird continues to nest.....and nest.....and nest.....
So the other day as the boys and I were walking at the mall we went by Bath and Body Works and they had made the most adorable butterfly mobiles for thier new spring line that were all orange....they were so delightful...I talked to the salesperson and she said that they would be using the definately until May and maybe until June. That would be too easy just to have an extra one they weren't using that I could purchase. So....it got me thinking....wow, that would be really neat in Abigail's room....she doesn't have anything fun to look at except the tan ceiling over her crib.....hmmmm....maybe we could make that.....and so off to Hobby Lobby we went today! The boys were really a big help picking out the butterflies and the ribbon...they loved helping assemble it...which I might add was a little tricky...I am still not sure how I got it all to work out but it is complete and looks fantastic! What is so neat is that Dustin has been calling Abigail "mi mariposa pequena"...which means "my little butterfly" in spansih the past couple of weeks....maybe she was just waiting on us to finally complete her room by the addition of her butterfly mobile and she is ready to come now....wouldn't that be great! And the last pic is kind of how I feel today...I have been fighting a yucky cold the past three days...but am feeling much better this afternoon....nesting, lots of nesting going on here as we wait for Abigail just like this Momma bird is waiting patiently for her little bird to hatch.

Thankful

Nesting. So I talked to my Grandmommie and we decided that the little Mommy and Daddy birds that have built a nest on our front porch are house finches. They make the most beautiful music in the mornings right out our dining room window. The boys and I have enjoyed watching them play together. My scrapbook stuff has officially taken up residence all over our dining room table as I have begun to tackle the task of getting Andrew's started really...it is about 3 years behing....argh! But I have started to make some great progess organizing and well first I had to go through all my digital pitcure files and print off pictures.....word to the wise....do not wait 3 years to print off pictures...the task is so daunting going through all of them and then when you end up with over 200 pictures at one time the cost is a little staggering :)....anyways so the day before yesterday I officially got started scrapbooking with the little birds just singing out the window....I am just sure they were cheering me on. I completed 10 pages in Andrew's book that day....what a fun time! It brought back so very many memories and thankfulness for what the Lord has done for us and continues to do for our family. Today, as we continue to wait on the Lord's perfect timing for Abigail to arrive I find my cup overflowing with thankfulness for what a great God we serve!!......gotta go now...my monkeys have awoken and are ready for the new day that the Lord has made....Praise Him!
"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name." Psalm 100:4
