It's a SNOW DAY

The boys have been out of school already this semester 3 days because of SNOW!! Today was our first day that we had enough to sled and off we went.

This little princess is a snow bird! She loved the snow and sledding.

This little princess left her big coat at Awana's so she was a bit chilly even though she had a couple of sweaters on and sweatshirts.

The snow tastes great!

Weee!! Abigail did come back out later and mustered up enough courage to sled one time. She was so excited and said she loooved it but when I asked her if she wanted to go again she said, "No, I am cold!"

Learning to read

This little girl, somedays it is adamantly Thumbelina...or Cinderella....or Tangled....but most days its Abby Roo, she loves to read books. This day I caught her just making up a story and reading to herself. She is getting too big.

First Hike

This is the hill on the north side of our home. This picture does not do it justice. It is a big hill....on the other side is part of the Daniel Boone National Forest. We have seen deer come down from the forest to drink at our pond behind our home. So we set off for a hike on a warm day to see what we could find.

Oh, the Lady Bugs

We have lady bugs folks and lots of them! Abigail looooves them and likes to carry them around. She gives them much love, water and grass until she smooshes them and then she just goes and gets another one. Apparently a couple of years ago there was some kind of pest destroying some of the trees in the forest here so they brought in lady bugs...lots of lady bugs. In the winter they hibernate and they like light colored bathrooms. So because our master is cream and baby blue (for the time being) they have found a sanctuary and a friend in Abby Roo, until she kills them, but don't worry we always have more. :)
